Nutmeg
(Myristica fragnans)
Nutmeg has been known to mankind for about 5 millennia. Nutmeg has an incredible aroma and quickly became popular in trade, although it became widespread in Europe only at the beginning of the 16th century. Historically, this tree was considered a plant of Aphrodite, and its fruits were powerful aphrodisiacs. It strengthens the nervous system and memory and treats heart disease and colds.

First, we use nutmeg to care for people who go through great mental and physical stress every day. Nutmeg is not officially classified as a superfood, although it should have taken place in this pantheon long ago. At least because it has a beneficial effect on the nervous system and helps maintain physical tone.
Among the most functional trace elements is elemicin, which tones up the body, increases concentration, improves memory and vision, and relieves depression, stress, and chronic fatigue. It also helps to relieve tension, anxiety, and irritability, enhances sleep, improves mood, and restores a balanced state, which is especially important after a hard day.

Nutmeg contains fibers that help keep you from feeling hungry for a long time (students, are you here?). It also contains manganese, which helps break down fats and unnecessary cholesterol. In addition, the spice reduces cravings for sweets.

Interesting fact: the evergreen nutmeg tree is large and can reach 20 meters in height. The fruit of the nutmeg tree is similar in size to an apricot. A hard kernel in the middle of the fruit, from which the popular spice is prepared. This bone has a crimson-red coating, and this stone is called "nutmeg".
