Winter mushrooms
(Flammulina velutipes)
Flammulins, or winter mushrooms, contain all the nutrients necessary for healthy human development at any age. They have exceptional healing properties that prevent the proliferation of cancer cells, lower blood cholesterol, and slow the growth of atherosclerosis. In terms of protein and amino acid content (28-33% in dry matter), these mushrooms are superior to most berries, fruits, and vegetables.

The varied content of minerals and trace elements: phosphorus, potassium, zinc, iodine, manganese, copper; polysaccharides; antioxidants ergothioneine and prolamin; lectin and P-D-glucan; flamulin, which counteracts malignant tumors, was also found in the winter mushroom.
An interesting fact: the name of the mushrooms is related to a substance called "flammulin", which scientists have isolated from the fruiting bodies of winter mushrooms.

The following properties of flammulins have been scientifically confirmed:

  • antioxidant and antibacterial activity;
  • slows down the development of atherosclerosis and brain diseases (chorea, epilepsy, vascular spasms, hypertension);
  • diseases of the respiratory system (inflammation, bronchitis, ARVI, influenza, etc.)
  • liver and pancreas diseases;
  • joint diseases (rheumatism, arthritis, polyarthritis, etc.).
